Literacy resources research announcement

Adnodd has announced that Miller Research will be undertaking the research project into literacy resources. This research will support our priorities and approach to commissioning literacy resources in future.
Diverse group of children gathered around an open book filled with colourful stars, with one child in VR goggles reaching upward enthusiastically. Grŵp amrywiol o blant wedi ymgynnull o amgylch llyfr agored yn llawn sêr lliwgar, gydag un plentyn mewn gogls VR yn estyn i fyny yn frwdfrydig.

Literacy is one of Adnodd’s three focus areas. We are keen to deepen our understanding of the current situation in Wales and discover new ways of developing resources that will inspire and support practitioners, learners and their families.

The research will include elements such as motivations for reading, effective guidelines that support bilingual literacy, and examples of international best practice.

This is a great opportunity for us to collaborate with experts across the sector and create a solid evidence base that will inform our work. It will also enable us to support innovative and collaborative projects that improve literacy outcomes for young learners in Wales.

We are excited to take this first step and look forward to collaborating with Miller Research, as well as sharing the findings with you in the summer.
