Working in collaboration

As a small organisation, Adnodd will collaborate extensively to achieve our ambitions.

From suppliers who will be commissioned to create exciting, high-quality resources to major national organisations with the expertise and reach to help us deliver our aims, Adnodd will collaborate with a wide range of companies and organisations.

We don’t want to duplicate the capacity and expertise that’s already out there. We want to be that catalyst, an organisation that can really help pull people together and make things happen, not try to deliver it all by ourselves.

Emyr George, Chief Executive of Adnodd

Most importantly, we will actively involve those who matter most in education. Everything we do will reflect the needs of practitioners, learners and their families and communities, and our work will be delivered in collaboration with them through a continuous process of listening and learning.

Welsh Government

Adnodd is a Welsh Government arms’ length body. It is a wholly owned subsidiary company limited by guarantee. This means we are independent of the Welsh Government, but are fully accountable to its Ministers. You can see Adnodd’s remit letters by the Welsh Government here.

The Government’s aim, as outlined in the national mission for education, is:

In Wales, education is our national mission. Together, we will achieve high standards and aspirations for all, tackling the impact of poverty on attainment and ambition. All learners, whatever their background, are supported to be healthy, engaged, enterprising and ethical citizens, ready to play a full part in life and work.
