Open market opportunities
The commissioning opportunities available will support teaching and learning in the following areas:
- Equity, anti-racism and well-being
- GCSEs and related qualifications, specifically Wave 2 subjects
This commissioning round offers significant contract opportunities.
To help ensure resources are high quality, accurate, relevant, accessible and engaging, we encourage bidders to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Equity, anti-racism and well-being tender
We’ll be looking to fund new resources that are:
- bilingual (Welsh and English versions)
- free to access and use
- digital-only or combined print-plus-digital formats
- developed and available by 30 September 2027
- in line with the ethos of the Curriculum for Wales and one or more of Adnodd’s current focus areas: literacy, equity and anti-racism, and well-being.
GCSE tender
We will be looking to fund new resources that are:
- bilingual (Welsh and English versions)
- print formats
- priced at a competitive and affordable RRP
- developed and available by 01 November 2027
- directly mapped to the WJEC specifications
- aligned with the ethos and vision of the Curriculum for Wales
- provide comprehensive coverage of qualification content to support learners in Years 10 and 11 as they prepare for their GCSEs and related qualification.
Timeline
2026
- 24 and 25 September: Online information sessions hosted by Adnodd’s commissioning and quality team. The same session will run twice. Suppliers should attend one session only.
- Early October: Tenders issued via Proactis portal
- Late October and early November: Tender response deadlines
- Late November and early December: Contracts awarded
2027
- September: Completion of the anti-racism resources
- November: Completion of GCSE resources
