Wave 3 Qualifications  

Details: a suite of bilingual video resources to support the delivery of Vocational Certificates of Secondary Education (VCSEs) and Work-Related Foundation Qualifications. 

This opportunity is available for suppliers of Lot 1: Digital and Multimedia Resources only  

Mathematics and Numeracy  

We will commission an adviser for mathematics and numeracy resources who will provide expert advice on resource priorities, stakeholder recommendations, research activity and future investment opportunities. 

Available for Suppliers of Lot 4: Consultancy services only 

Welsh language immersion – there will be three separate projects:  

Project 1 – a vocabulary resource for learners aged 7 – 11, introducing vocabulary and sentence patterns with audio files.   

Project 2 – a resource to support learners aged 11 – 14 who have completed a term at a late immersion centre and recently returned to mainstream education in a Welsh-medium secondary school.  

Project 3 – a series of short, fun and energetic Welsh language video clips that combine physical movement, co-ordination development, cognitive activity and Welsh language acquisition for use by learners in late immersion centres and English-medium schools.   

 In all three areas, we will fund projects that are:   

• Welsh-medium only   

• free to use  

• in digital formats   

• developed and available by 30 April 2027  

• developed in line with the ethos of the Curriculum for Wales and one or more of Adnodd’s focus areas: literacy, equity and anti-racism, and well-being    

• support learners’ language progression across the CEFR levels.

Wave 3 Qualifications:  

We seek to commission an adviser to undertake research and mapping work focused on General Foundation Qualifications (GFQs) and existing Skills Suite resources. The work will identify gaps in provision, areas of duplication, and opportunities for further development, and make recommendations to inform future commissioning and investment priorities.

Mathematics and Numeracy – there will be two separate projects:

We will commission a suite of bilingual numeracy anchor tasks and supporting materials. These resources will strengthen mathematical reasoning, enquiry and problem-solving skills.

Project 2 

We will commission an independent review of mathematics and numeracy resource provision in Wales. The review will draw on research and stakeholder engagement to identify strengths, gaps in provision and future priorities for resource development and investment. 

 *Please note – only Suppliers appointed to Lot 5 – Research, data collection and analysis, and evaluation of the Framework will be able to access this opportunity and submit a response as part of the Competitive Selection Process.  

Innovation and Collaboration Fund Review  

We will commission an independent evaluation of Adnodd’s Innovation and Collaboration Fund. This work will assess the Fund’s effectiveness and impact, showcase learning from the ten funded projects, and provide recommendations to inform the future development and delivery of similar funding programmes.  

Literacy – there will be two separate projects:  

We are currently exploring future commissioning opportunities relating to literacy resource development and evaluation.  

Areas of focus may include:  

• Welsh phonics resources.  

• Literacy resources for older readers.
